During a weekend in May, Bureau Detours travelled around Copenhagen and installed swings, encountering different types of urban spaces and the people who inhabit them along the way. From the sunny café lined Sct. Hans torv, the alcoholics around Vesterbro Torv to Enghave Plads filled with children playing.

The swing is an icon for a time in everyone’s lives, here being reinterpreted as it confronts the user and its surroundings. A contribution to the cities otherwise varied city planning, where details, stories, intimate spaces and the smaller scale should have more focus.
