Bureau Detours created the room dedicated to the historical neighborhood of Bispebjerg in the Museum of Copenhagen. The room was built from the output of various workshops with a local school. We considered the children the experts and got the historical ‘facts’ from them. In that manner we made a series of walks with the intention of observing the area from the eyes of the kids. In the walks we collected physical evidence, spatial stories and general mapping of their everyday movements in the area. The outcome was an animated film with some of the stories and a small exhibition of the found goods. Furthermore, we build the exhibition design to display the museum pieces. The rest of the exhibition display is a direct translation of the school we collaborated with.
