After three years the time was right to look back and evaluate Institut for (X), the longest-running Detours project yet. Institut for (X) is a platform for culture-oriented businesses established by Bureau Detours back in 2009 and THIS IS (X) was an exhibition that was open for the public in spring 2013.

From the beginning Institut for (X) has been a temporary platform, which has formed the breeding ground for many emerging projects, associations and startups. The platform is still evolving and transforming with new projects and events every month.

The exhibition THIS IS (X) highlights the many layers of this self-organized creative platform, including the methods and philosophies governing Institut for (X), as well as our thoughts on the development of the area until 2014 when the lease ends.
