Bureau Detours were contacted by the association Copenhagen Kids who were planning a children and arts festival called Samværk. Ten school classes each collaborating with an artist and Bureau Detours had to design the physical environment for art viewing.
Since it was a festival for children and young people, we chose to incorporate as much workshop as possible. This was done by working with students from Rødover technical school during the construction, and then incorporated the students’ art in the physical environment. During the festival, there were workshops and happenings, which gave the children an opportunity to develop aesthetic in the public spaces.
